If you are used to shooting with a traditional video camera that has a servo zoom, shooting on a HDSLR with a manual zoom wheel can be daunting.  According to NikonRumors.com, Nikon is working on a lens that can be manually zoomed like a traditional SLR lens but also have an electronic zoom rocker like a traditional video camera.
