Proof, Inc. uploaded a video where they shot the AF100 next to 16mm film. It starts off with the raw AF100 footage, color corrected footage and finally film. The 16mm film has noticeably higher latitude but the AF100 does a good job standing next to it.

I think the 2 are miles apart…. if this is supposed to be a comparison, which , after reading some of the comments and explanations it is clearly not.
I freezed the shot with the boy lying on the horse in 2 separate browser tabs, one corrected and one raw…. hardly any change except for some contrast.
It probably could have come much closer to the 16mm film which is much more pleasant to look at.
The feeling of sharpness/dof is similar though between af100/s16.
As a comparison test it is pretty inconclusive… (“nice words”)
I’m not sure about the 4/3, thinking that 7d and mark II has better latitude, despite of the Moire
Or maybe film just blew it apart?
